Outlook Express: Setting up emails

First make sure that you have created the email account in your Web Hosting Control Panel which would either be WebsitePanelcPanel or Plesk.

NOTE: In the instructions below you should replace domain.com with your registered domain name

  1. Go to the Tools menu and select "Accounts..." A new window will open up.

  2. Click on the Add button, then select "Mail..." Another new window will open.

  3. Enter the following information: E-mail Address: username@domain.com (your full email address)

  4. Click on the Next button.

  5. Enter the following information:
    1. My incoming mail server is a: POP3 :server
    2. Incoming mail (POP3, IMAP or HTTP) server: mail.domain.com
    3. Outgoing mail (SMTP) server: mail.domain.com

  6. Click on the Next button.

  7. Enter the following information:
    1. Account name: username@domain.com (your full email address)
    2. Password: Enter the password for the e-mail address.
    3. Click on the Next button.

  8. Click on the Finish button. The window will close.

  9. On the previously opened window, select the account you just created.

  10. Click on the Properties... button. A new window will open up.

  11. Click on the Servers tab.

  12. Enter the following information:
    • REGULAR CONNECTION
    • Check the box next to "My server requires authentication".
