We recommend that you add a Backup Plan to your existing server hosting plan as we fully understand that your business data is important. Backups are crucial to ensure continuity of your business and quick restoration should anything go wrong to your server that could potentially lead to loss of data. We offer a remote backup solution based on R1Soft's Continuous Data Protection (CDP) which provides near continuous data protection for all of your data. The backups are done offsite in an external data centre for added protection.

CDP 3.0 can reduce your backup windows from hours to minutes; improve recovery point objectives by replicating your data to disk-based archive storage up to every 15 minutes; and reduce the impact of backups on server load.

With CDP 3.0 Enterprise Edition, you use multi-point replication to efficiently make multiple backup replicas of your servers. Both on-site and off-site or redundant on-site copies of your recovery points are possible.
Bare-Metal Restore is a high-performance alternative to file-by-file restore. By bypassing the file system and streaming blocks directly to disk, restores of large file systems can be performed significantly faster.
New CDP 3.0 Disk Safe® technology is industrial strength disk storage for your backup and archiving. Archive up to 64TB of recovery points per disk. Atomic disk writes protect data from crashes and power loss.
The Microsoft Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS) is used by CDP to produce a point-in-time snapshot of the disk volume, delivering protection for locked and open files.
With CDP 3.0 technology you can browse your file system and select any combination of files and folders to be excluded from your data protection policy. Add advanced exclude rules using patterns to exclude only certain file types.
In addition to the policy management and reporting you can browse, download, and restore files from your recovery points using an Explorer-style interface. You can also see the detailed progress of replication and restore jobs as they run.
Never again wait for a restore job to begin. Restore even while your policy is replicating. Perform multiple file restore jobs simultaneously. Double-click and download archived files in your recovery points directly from the Web interface.
R1Soft offers both QuickLZ and industry-standard zlib (Zip). Data is compressed at the block-level and stored only once until it changes or is no longer needed. Typical compression ratios are 2:1.
Define a CDP replication goal; for example, every 15 minutes, or every hour, or every 4 hours. Then define how many recovery points you will retain. Old recovery points are automatically merged and their storage is recycled.
