Microsoft Outlook 2003: Setting up emails

First make sure that you have created the email account in your Web Hosting Control Panel which would either be WebsitePanel, cPanel or Plesk.

NOTE: In the instructions below you should replace domain.com with your registered domain name

  1. Go to the Tools menu and select "E-Mail Accounts..." A new window will open.
  2. Click on the radio button next to "Add a new e-mail account".
  3. Click on the Next button.
  4. Click on the Add... button.
  5. On the next screen, click on the radio button next to "POP3".
  6. Click on the Next button.
  7. Enter the following information:
  8. Your Name: Enter the name you want to be displayed with mail sent from this account.
  9. E-mail Address: username@domain.com
  10. Incoming mail server (POP3): mail.domain.com
  11. Outgoing mail server (SMTP): mail.domain.com
  12. User name: username@domain.com
  13. Password: Enter the password for the e-mail address.
  14. Click on the More Settings... button. A new window will open.
  15. Click on the Outgoing Server tab.
  16. Check the box next to "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication".
  17. Click on the radio button next to "Use same settings as my incoming mail server".
  18. Click on the OK button.
