How do I create a MySQL Database in cPanel?

This article will explain to you how to create a MySQL database in cPanel.

There are 2 ways to create MySQL database in cPanel:

Creating database from MySQL Databases menu

  1. Login to your control panel ( http://domain.com/cpanel )
  2. Under the Databases section, click on MySQL Databases link.
  3. Under the Create New Database section enter the name for your new MySQL database. Then click on the Create Database button.
  4. This is it.

Creating databases from MySQL Databases Wizard tool

  1. Login to your control panel ( http://domain.com/cpanel )
  2. Under the Databases section, click on the MySQL Database Wizard link.
  3. Under the Create New Database section enter the name for your new MySQL database. Then click on the Create Database button.
  4. Add a user to your new database by entering a username and password then click on the Create New User button.
  5. Set permission for the user regarding access to the new database. Then click on the Next Step button.
  6. This is it.
You have now created your new MySQL database.
